Online marketing also known as Internet Marketing is made up of a number of components. Here are just some of them:

• Pay Per Click and similar advertising methods – PPC
• Local Search
• Press Releases
• Article Marketing
• Social Media
• Email Marketing

As you can see it is made up a quite a few different parts and there are more not mentioned here.

How Do You Get Started?

I always start with goal setting using smart goals. This helps to keep you focused. If you are not focused, you will not take effective action.

You know your business so set some smart goals for the next 6 to 12 months. Be sure they are smart goals and then take action.

Because online marketing is a broad array of different components, it takes a lot of time to get everything going. Keeping it going is also difficult due to time constraints. So choose your smart goals carefully.
